November 2010 Blog Train
I decided to participate in the November 2010 blog train this month. I thought I’d challenge myself a little with the theme. However, after working with the palette I found this one really hard. I’m not liking this palette at all and I stayed pretty much away from the red. Maybe if I had some photos I’d feel a little better. Hopefully you’ll like it more than I do. lol!

The colors sure do look hard to work with, but you pulled it off beautifully! Love your creations!
Oh thank you so much Jayne! Would love to see what you do with it if you use it. 🙂
I sure like it! I’m sure it will go well for scrapping some of our Japanese & Korean homestay students . . .

Thanks so much for your part of the blog train. The floral paper is stunning! I am really enjoying the blog train ride so far.
Thank you so much!
I’m like you on this one. I didn’t really care for the color palette but I LOVE the papers you did in the gold color! Very nice! Some of the best work on this train yet! Thanks.
Oh thank you Andrea! Glad you like it. 🙂
Thank you for participating in this train – your papers are beautiful. I really like your muted tones. Congratulations on a great job with a difficult palette.
Thanks so much Dawn!

You’re welcome Deborah. Thanks for leaving me a comment. 🙂
I love your take on this theme. Thank you so much! 🙂
Thanks Vera!
Can you please upload to another link? I’ve tried downloading 3 times but never once succeeded to extract.
I’m so sorry you are having problems. I tried the link myself and was able to extract the files. I do not put my files on the free download services. I run the links through my server so I can track things better. I would try maybe downloading during a different time or maybe come back later in the month and try again when the blog train traffic isn’t so high. 🙁
I discovered this afternoon that Internet Explorer is defaulting to open the link in a new tab – which will generate an error. This “could” be what you were experiencing. If you use IE, try right clicking on the link above and just select “OPEN LINK” from the pop-up menu. That should stop IE from trying to open a tab for the download.
TY SO VVVV M!
D 🙂
You’re welcome.
Uh oh! unable to download! will try later.
Okay. Thanks!
Diane, I discovered this afternoon that Internet Explorer is defaulting to open the link in a new tab which will generate an error. This could be what you were experiencing. If you use IE, try right clicking on the link above and just select OPEN LINK from the pop-up menu. That should stop IE from trying to open a tab for the download.
When trying to download I get a message telling me that: You do not have permission to access this file with a direct link. Is there something I’m missing? I really like what you did with the colors given!
Thanks!
I have some link protection on. You won’t be able to open the link in a new window (like right click and open in a new tab option) or anything like that. You have to click on the link directly from this page. I just tested again and I am able to get the file to download if I just click the link from this page. But if I try to open in a new tab/browser, I will get the error message.
I switched to firefox and was able to download but it didn’t work in IE.
I think these papers are really beautiful!
Okay. Interesting. I didn’t test this in IE. I’ll have to check into that.
If anyone else is having issues, try changing browsers if you can.
When I just tested this in IE, it looks like IE automatically tries to open the file as a new tab – by default. That’s the problem. If I right click and just choose “Open the Link”, it starts the download in IE. I’ll have to make a note of that on the post itself. Thanks for working through that Kelly!
Thank you for the lovely papers and frames. And thank you, too, for the ‘IE’ instructions. Right clicking worked beautifully.
Oh good! Glad it worked. Thanks for leaving me a comment. 🙂
Jen, you might not have liked this theme or the colors but you did an AWESOME JOB!!! Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us and being part of this blogtrain! I appreciate your generosity!
Thanks so much Patti!
Absolutely delightful kit, the papers are gorgeous. Thank you very much
Thanks Sue!
So beautiful !! Love the colors ! Thanks so much !
Thanks so much Celly!
Good grief, woman!! If this is your “eh” attempt, I can’t wait to poke around a bit and see the “good stuff!” Feel free to pass the “junk” my way and I’ll tell you if it’s up to snuff or not 😉 THANK YOU!!
lol! Thanks for your kind words. 🙂
Thanks! Your kit is beautiful!
You’re welcome Megan!
Some wonderful looking papers here. Thanks so much.
You’re welcome! Thanks for leaving me a comment.
HI Jen, I love how you used this scheme. As my children are both from Asia, I simply love this mega blog train. And I love all the hard work from designers like you to do this for us! Thanks very much!
Oh thank you so much! I would love to see how scrap your beautiful kids with it. Seriously. If you use it, please stop back and shoot a link. Thanks for leaving me a wonderful compliment too.
Your part of the “train” is wonderful. Love all the papers and designs. So Asian. Thank you.
You’re very welcome. Thank you!
I think your kit is fabulous! I am very particular about what I will download from blog hops – usually limiting them to no more than 1/10 of the dowloads available – I hate unzipping!!! But this one was easily at the top of the list!
Oh Kristie you are so sweet! Thank you so much for your wonderful compliment. If you use this, I’d love to see a layout. 🙂
Merci Beaucoup pour le kit Orient xxx

You are welcome. Thanks for leaving me a comment. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
You’re so welcome Trisha!
We visited China this year so I am SO excited to use your art 🙂 Thanks so much!
lol! Thanks Sherri! I’m still not sure I really like this one… but maybe that is because I don’t have any photos that go with this theme so I can’t visual a page. If you scrap a layout with your photos and use my papers, I’d love to see it!
Thank you for your share of the Orient blog train! It’s beautiful, as are all your other designs!
Thanks Christelle!
Love your Orient freebie but get a “Yikes…are you trying to downoload content you shouldn’t be” error message when I try to get it.
Karen
Thanks Karen. Sounds like your browser is trying to open the link in a new window or new tab. Try right clicking on the download link and just choosing OPEN LINK.
It is the end results that count and you have given us the expertise in design that we have come to expect. Love the color mix that includes your wonderful patterns and lovely elements. The layouts are just awesome in their various presentations. I would use the photos of my grandchildren’s vacation in Japan to visit relatives. I just hope I can steady my hands enough to complete the project. Thank you for the template. (I am going to change my e-mail from Gmail for the newsletter. I already have the wordart.)
